A suggestion under the Name field

You could already rename a session from the meter, in the Name field of the AlbionLab card. Most sessions still ended up as “Untitled session”, because nobody stops in the middle of a dungeon to think of a name.

From 0.1.18 the card suggests one. It appears under the Name field, and while the field is empty it is also shown inside it. Click the suggestion and the session takes that name on AlbionLab right away. You can still type anything you want instead.

The AlbionLab card with a suggested session name
The suggestion follows what you are recording, and updates as the run goes on.

What the suggestion looks like

The meter builds it from what it is recording: - A dungeon with your group: Random dungeon · Hightree Cliffs · 18 players - Two expeditions in a row: Expedition ×2 · solo - Farming alone, without a dungeon: KPey solo · Cursed Staff - A fight with your party outside a dungeon: Group fight · 5 players

The map name only goes into the suggestion when Share dungeon location is on. With it off, the suggestion leaves the map out, so a name you accept in a hurry never tells anyone where you farm.

Why the name matters

Public sessions with a name and a party are the ones AlbionLab lists for search engines. Sessions without a name, or with only one player, stay reachable by their link but are kept out of search results. A good name is also what your group sees first on Discord, at the top of the picture the link shows.

You can rename a session at any time, from the meter while it records or on its page on AlbionLab.

How to update

The desktop app downloads 0.1.18 by itself and shows the update notice in the corner. If you still use the zip or tar.gz package, get the installer from the download section.
